Non si tratta di stabilire se la guerra sia legittima o se invece non lo sia, la Vittoria non è possibile. La guerra non è fatta per essere vinta, è fatta per non finire mai. Una società gerarchica è possibile solo se si basa su povertà e ignoranza. Questa nuova giustificazione della guerra attiene al passato, ma il passato non può essere che uno e uno soltanto. Di norma lo sforzo bellico persegue sempre lo scopo di tenere la società al limite della sopravvivenza. La guerra viene combattuta dalla classe dominante contro le classi subalterne e non ha per oggetto la vittoria sull’Eurasia o sull’Asia orientale, ma la conservazione dell’ordinamento sociale.

It’s not a matter of whether the war is not real, or if it is, Victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia but to keep the very structure of society intact.
